It's only Rock and Roll and She Likes it.

As we all know, since Maya has moved to Monday our Monday Nights have never been the same!
But if you think that Maya hasn't been playing Rock and Roll up till now, just stay tuned tonight 9-11 PM when Maya takes on ROCK AND ROLL.
2 Hours that will get you and Homer of your couches and up and rockin' and rollin'.
Be there, or Be Square.

And don't forget, tonight right before Maya will be a "Best of Brainwaves" show.
That's right, Brian Blum is still away, but we'll bring you the best of Brian's music and maybe even one of his previous shows tonight, 7:00 - 9:00 PM.
After all Steve can try to be Brian, but wouldn't you like to hear Brian being Brian as well?
He'll be back live next week, but meanwhile, we do have the "video-tape!"

So, to review:
6:00 - Health and Healing with Benzion Eliyahu Lehrer,
7:00 Brainwaves,
9:00 Maya
11:00 Steve will wrap things up, and "take us home.!"

It's Tuesday -Let's Rock and Roll!!!

But before we get to that -

Tuesday Night's Lineup includes:

6:00 PM - Benzion Eliyahu Lehrer (and Lorelai) will bring us the show with the longest name in Radio Free Nachlaot history! "Developing Your Neshama Through the Jewish Year" -(Parshas Teruma), is all about giving of yourself, rebuilding the Mishkan - and letting your new light reach to this world!  Let Benzion guide us and tell us how!

7:00 PM - The Homegrown Hour - Steve (who isn't very good at math...) will play the newest harvest of Homegrown selections (and some favorites, or course) sent from you to us!  Tonight we will be featuring new music by Daniel Gil, Rabbi Avrohom Aryeh Trugman, and MoW (Yaakov Yisroel Costello).  Of course there'll be some SoulAviv and Beetniks, and Yosef Daniel, and lots of our "Homegrown" friends.

8:30 PM (told you we couldn't do math...) The Newgrass/Bluegrass Hourwill give us an excuse to play the pickin' on series - an excuse we rarely use since there's so much newgrass music to be heard. It's a perfect bridge between Homegrown and our Tuesday Night Featured Show:  That's Rock and Roll! (remember the first line - It's Tuesday, Let's Rock and Roll?!!)

9:30 Pm - Steve will take a look at Rock and Roll from all sides cause it means so much to so many different people.
Tonight - long awaited new music from some of our old friends (can't tell you who, but it's gonna be a Boss show with a special Star!) as well as a Rock and Roll trip down to New Orleans 'cause, that's right - today is Mardi Gras Day!

Rock and Roll will become Jazz and Lorelai will drive the bus on Wednesday -- so, like i like to say, Hang on for the Ride!

The End is Near - But So Is The Beginning

Unbelievable, but the Month of Shevat is almost over - the end is near! Have you worked on "tikkun food/eating" yet? Only a few more days to use the energy of the Month of Shevat before we go slip-sliding into Adar - Pisces, the final Month - really, time really IS just slippin', slippin', slippin' into the future ...

On Lorelai's Newsy News show this morning there were several stories with food and eating themes as well as news about Hamas & Fatah not being Facebook friends, Anglicans who hate Jews ("This is news?"), a Haifa woman who saved Egyptian cats, and more. Listen to "What's New With Lorelai" every Monday - Thursday from 10am - 11am Israel time. All the shows are archived on our DOWNLOAD PAGE where you can enjoy them any time.

Today's Final Vinyl Show (11am - 1pm)  features "Let It Bleed" from the Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan's "Blonde on Blonde," two classic vinyl albums. If you've got suggestions for what you'd like to hear on the Final Vinyl Show, where we celebrate albums we knew and loved so well during the "Age of Vinyl," send your suggestions to us at: radiofreenachlaot@gmail.com

On "Israeli Soul Afternoon" (1pm - 6pm ) today we'll hear music from Eitan Katz, Yood, Holly Shere's "Wild Earth Shebrew," Reb Shlomo's "Teachings of Joy and Oneness," Soulfarm and Seth Breitman.

At 6pm tonight Benzion Lehrer will be live on-air with a health lecture and interactive Q&A session! If you're in Tzfat you can come in person to the Returning Light Healing Center, 12 Korczeck St. in the Artist Quarter (one block up from the Ruth Rimmonim hotel) or if you're NOT in Tzfat, you can interact with us on Facebook, our chat will be open (both Benzion's and Lorelai's) and you'll be able to ask your health-related questions and have them answered live on-air.

At 7pm normally we're with Brian Blum enjoying his BRANWAVES show. Tonight Brian is on vacation for two weeks and Steve is going to "be Brian." So listen from 7pm - 9pm to Steve Levine as Brian Blum, inhabiting Brian's brain and bringing us his BRAINWAVES! (That's sure to be at the least very interesting if not downright weird and fun!)

9pm - Maya's Music of the Night helps round out our programming day - after Maya we'll have more great music programmed by Steve all night long.

So ... yes, the end (of Shevat) is near, but so is the beginning (of Adar). You know they say that when the Month of Adar comes, joy begins to increase. Purim is coming! So many good things in store for all of us, G*d willing - we've got it all here for you at Radio Free Nachlaot - listener supported radio (hey, we REALLY appreciate your help and support - see the "PayPal" icon on this page, to the left? If you throw some spare change into our virtual guitar case this helps keep the lights on!) ... looking forward to going forward into new beginnings, day after day, right here on the radio and with you!

Back to Our Regular Irregular Schedule!

It's been an EXCITING but erratic couple of weeks on Radio Free Nachlaot!
The big news of course was Lorelai & Benzion's wedding. If you haven't seen it yet - watch it at www.bethereisrael.com/events/benzion-lorelai - you'll never have a better time unless you were actually there in real life! So much thanks to our friends at BE THERE ISRAEL for broadcasting the wedding live to friends and family around the world. Watch it & you'll see RFN's Steve Levine & wife Rena walking Lorelai to the chuppah ("We're not giving her away, we're just sharing her."). The truth is: Steve said a few days later - the chuppah was mamash Mt. Sinai. So true. We were at the highest high - and now we've come back down the mountain, and we're ready to live our revelation with you, on-air!

TODAY on Radio Free Nachlaot - Lorelai is back! Broadcasting live from Tzfat (remember, "Nachlaot: NOT Just a Neighborhood - A State of Mind!") she'll be doing her Newsy News Show from 10am - 11am, discussing (amongst other things) the death of pop diva Whitney Houston, Adele's sweep of the Grammys, Iran's suicide bomb boats in the Gulf, Israel's Power Flowers coming to the US, and "Back to the Future" - Hovercrafts coming soon (hopefully!).

Today's Final Vinyl Show, 11am - 1pm , will break precedent and play Adele's multi-Grammy winning album "21" and the classic "Abby Road" by the Beatles.

Israeli Soul Afternoon, today features music from Reb Shlomo Carlebach, Shlomo & Neshama Carlebach, Aharit HaYamim, C Lanzbom, David Ziv, Eden, and Edem MQuedem.

At 7pm Brian Blum's BRAINWAVES and 9pm Maya's Music of the Night rounds us out for the day.
But don't think "regular" means "boring." NEVER!!! We've got great programming for you all week long - stick with us 24/6, we're live with the best music, talk & Torah from multiple undisclosed locations all over the Holy Land to you everywhere in the world!

Sunday Night Live - yes, we are A-Live!!! Tonight, 8PM

featuring a re-broadcast of our interview ith Rob Raede of SoulAviv. Yes, Mr. SoulAviv was with us last Wednesday night, and just in case you missed it we will re-broadcast that interview about 9:00 PM during tonight's Sunday Night Live.

We heard the sad news about Whitney Houston today, so part of the show will be to remember Whitney, Aleha Hashalom.
I think we have a visit to New Orleans on our itineray, and the rest, hey, it's Sunday Night LIVE, remember?\
