Countdown to Purim - Monday, Monday!

Our Countdown to Purim Week begins Monday with new music, Torah and an invitation to participate in our Purim Playlist Party. Get out your groggers, Purim is Coming! Purim is Coming! We're inviting our Radio Free Nachlaot listeners to compile their own personal playlist of anywhere between 6 - 12 songs, the theme of which should be YOUR particular "take" on Purim. What does Purim mean to you? Hamantashen and hangovers? Masks and Merriment? Deliverance and Defiance? Revelation and Rebellion? Whatever it is, we want to hear from you. Send your playlist (and also it would be very helpful if you sent us MP3, .wav or other files we can covert and play) to our email address (radiofreenachlaot@gmail.com) and we'll be playing your tunes all week long leading up to Purim. Meanwhile, Monday is full of interesting new music, oldies and favorites, and later tonight, a post-tribute birthday nod to the late Grateful Dead keyboardist Vince Welnick and Nina Simone, both of whom were born on February 21st (which yes was yesterday but ... ) Steve was driving the bus yesterday and Lorelai is more inclined to play birthday tributes - to each his own, that's what makes it fun! :)
